I guess it's that time in my life where weddings become a part of my weekend plans. This past weekend was certainly no exception. Friday night started out with a rehearsal dinner for Robbie's friends, Jeff and Jessica. Their wedding was held the next day at the Casa Monica Hotel. I unfortunately missed the ceremony do to a prosthetics lab (where I got to work with and wrap patients who had transtibial and transfemoral amputations). Robbie was a groomsman in the wedding, as Jeff is one of his friends from the 7th grade.

Our weekend then continued on Sunday with Angela and Joseph's wedding. The wedding? Simple elegance. The weather? Perfect. The memories? Unforgettable!
After arriving at the White Room, where the reception was held, it didn't take long for my brother-in-law, Michael, to drip stuff on him from the bacon wrapped scallops. Not even 5 minutes later, the server was walking around with a tray of iced tea. It later ended up on the floor, but luckily Michael's leg was there to help break the fall and decrease the amount of splatter. We were all laughing with the server and making some fun of the situation. Danette jumped at the opportunity to help him clean up as she didn't want him to feel embarrassed. With the server squatted to the ground, wiping up the mess, and Danette leaning over towards him with her dress hanging low, she kept asking if he was okay. "Of course he's okay," I whispered to Megan, "her boobs are hanging out right in his face." Everyone at the table lost it.
Following this episode came a sight I will never forget. As I walked into the women's restroom, I walked past the first stall where I saw a man standing over the toilet with the stall door wide open. I quickly turned around and walked right out. Everyone at the table inquired why I was laughing so hard, but I didn't want to tell them yet because I didn't want everyone to direct their attention to the man who was going to walk out of the women's restroom. Well, they knew something was up and looked anyway. Then, out walked my brother-in-law, Eddie! Why he ever ended up in there, no one knows. Why he never thought twice about there not being any urinals, no one knows. Why he didn't at least shut the door, no one knows. Either way, I won't ever forget the sight of a dark haired guy in a blue collared shirt standing over a toilet in the women's restroom.
Here's the last story to top it off. To set this up, it was during the Mother-Son dance. Robbie was to my left and Megan was to my right. Megan was sitting with her back turned away from Robbie and I as she was watching them dance. Completely unaware that anything was going on, we all heard a sneeze from Robbie and then Megan screamed and grabbed her back. She quickly grabbed her napkin and started wiping the wetness from her back in a hurry. She was laughing hysterically and tears were running down her face. By this time, everyone at our table had caught on to the fact that Robbie had dipped his hands in water and thrown it on her at the time he made the sneezing sound. Megan was completely grossed out, and disappeared to the restroom to clean it off. It "wa snot" until the next day that she found out the truth.

A QUIRKY COUPLE
I've been tagged by Laura to post 6 quirky things about myself.
Here are the rules:
1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Mention the rules on your blog.
3. Tell about six unspectacular quirks of yours.
4. Tag six fellow bloggers by linking them.
5. Leave a comment on each of the six blogger’s blogs letting them know they’ve been tagged.
So here goes.. Here are my 6 quirks..
1) My motto is "Safety First". Some people call it paranoia. Others say it's OCD. I MUST have my house doors locked at all times. Even if I leave to get the mail that is 100 yards away, I lock them. Our curtains must be completely overlapped at night to where there are no cracks where someone just might be able to see inside. When I get ready in the morning (even with the blinds shut), I don't like turning on the light in my bedroom if it's not light outside - I don't want anyone to see in.
2) My vocabulary includes the word "like". I use it like the word "the". It's like a bad habit that I like just can't break. :)
3) I get teased for the way I view the human body. No one will ever look the same to me. I analyze and break down gait (walking) patterns, identify functional limitations, and critique their every move. At least I know I've gotten something out of being in PT school.
4) I sleep on my side and I must have a pillow between my legs - It's great to protect your back. :)
5) When I highlight things, it must be neat. I can't stand a sloppy paper! If it's off in the least bit, I highlight it 'til it's fixed and there's an equal amount of highlight above and below the word/phrase.
6) I cannot stand a wet bathroom floor. If you know you're gonna drip when you get out of the shower, either dry off a lil better or put a towel on the floor.. and if that doesn't work, wipe it up after you're done!
For an added bonus, here are Robbie's 6 quirks..
1) He refuses to drink milk after anyone, even me. We can share any other drink, but there's something about the consistency of milk.
2) Robbie is like the Bubble Boy. Luckily, marriage has allowed me to burst that bubble, but he blows it back up around anyone else.
3) If it were up to Robbie, sheets wouldn't exist. It's even worse if I make him leave them on the bed and they're tucked in.
4) Robbie requires peace and quiet in the morning. It's a good thing we aren't up at the same time. I'm a talker, and the one time we tried getting up at the same time, I apparently drove him nuts.
5) His obsession? Lists. If it needs to get done, he makes a list. It it needs to be bought, he makes a list. If it needs to be paid, he makes a list. If his wife needs to get something done, he makes a list - and I tear it up.
6) Blue shirts with blue jeans? Not happening.. Not even baby blue, royal blue, navy blue, etc with light jeans, dark jeans, etc.. He's picky I tell you!
So now to tag some people.. My blogger list is limited. If they came from facebook, however, that'd be a different story.
I tag Kimberly, Melissa, Heather, and Ashley.
Happy quirky posting!

FLOWER POWER
I finally got my freeze-dried bouquet! Thanks to Keepsake Florals out of Orlando, it looks amazing! My mom and Megan helped in selecting the style, frame, and background while Danette and I sat back and said, "Yes, that looks good." I had no doubt in my mind that their selections would create a beautiful looking display. Although almost 9 months ago, I still get excited about our wedding mementos. I just found out yesterday that our video is FINALLY being mailed to our house. I can't wait to sit down with Robbie and family to re-live the day that I think about often!
